I had only been going out with my girlfriend for three months when her birthday came round. We were getting on really well, and just recently things had started to move a bit more quickly. I obviously felt incredibly strongly for her but I didn’t want to go too over the top for her birthday in case I put her off somehow. Sometimes it is difficult to read signs, and although I thought things were going great, how was I to know what she thought? I really wanted to buy us two return tickets to a deserted island, but I just knew that that would seem like too much too soon. I thought about several different presents, but despite the fact that the relationship was going well, I still didn’t know her that well, and it was hard to buy her something that I knew she would like.

It really was a difficult decision but in the end I decided to go for a tried and tested safe bet – I would buy her some flowers. I started to have a look around on the internet for some websites which offered flower delivery, and after coming across a couple of sites which really weren’t up to standard, I found a site which had a great range of flowers at reasonable rates. In the end after much soul searching I decided to go for a very big bouquet of roses. They really were some of the most beautiful looking roses I had ever seen and I had them delivered to her house.

She was thrilled with the flowers and it was just right for the occasion. As it happens, my birthday has just been and gone, and she actually bought us some tickets to a lovely island in Greece!
