Pregnancy which occurs outside the womb in medical terms is called an ectopic pregnancy. This condition occurs when a fertilized egg grows attached and outside the pouch uteri Endometrium or uterus. Pregnancy should be stopped so as not to endanger the life of the mother. Ectopic pregnancy is different with the extra uterin pregnancy. Uterin extra pregnancy occurs outside the pouch uteri, but still in the womb. However, the extra pregnancy uterin also said to be ectopic.

If you look at the location, approximately 95-98 percent of ectopic pregnancies are tubal. The rest occurred in the uterus, ovaries (ovarian), abdominal cavity primary and secondary, as well as combinations of pregnancy. Combinations when pregnancy is called an ectopic pregnancy and intra uterin occur simultaneously.
